Vintage Hospitality Snack Set

Over a month ago I was at the DI searching for jars and candlesticks for the apothecary jars we wanted to make for Christmas.  I saw this box that looked a little worn (understatement of the year!).  It was taped shut but I pried it open to find these amazing hospitality snack sets.  I couldn't believe how cute they were.  There were four cups and four snack plates.

How much did I pay? a whole $3.  I was ecstatic and had to buy it immediately.  I searched online for how much this cute little set would cost and at Replacements,LTD. a set meaning one cup and one plate costs $11.99.

I love the awesome print on the cardboard dividers that go in between the plates.  How cool is that

I think I got a pretty good deal! I am now on the search for more. I think it would be so fun to have these to use for a girls night or a shower.

Have you found any good thrift finds lately?  I would love to see what good scores you have made so please share!

You found a good deal!I have been collecting these for almost 2 years now, I use them for my tea parties. I have 57 plates and 72 of the cups. lol There are so many styles and shapes, it is so fun to look for them! I have found my best deals at yard and estate sales but I must say Goodwill seems to have them a lot. Happy Hunting!

Oh my gosh. I have a set just like that that is still in the box. The box is in very good condition because it was my Grandmothers' and she kept everything imaculately(that just looks like it's spelled wrong/prob is) clean.
How fun though to see another one.

These are so fun and what a steal! This is something I would buy with good intentions of using and would never remember them. If I ever have a tea party I'll just call you to borrow your cool stuff! ;) Take me to the D.I. with you. I need to learn. It freaks me out. So many people and so much stuff. I'm too OCD and panic.

Did I really just openly admit the D.I. freaks me out? Wow.

This is just gorgeous. How I would love something like this. I have a weekly linky party called "Thriving on Thursdays" here in Australia where I feature recipes, crafts, make up tips, decluttering and organising advice, vintage finds, anything goes really. I'd love it if you could link this idea up. I know my friends would love it!

When I saw this I almost fell out of my chair! I inherited my grandma's boxes of these - she had six complete sets! Thanks for sharing this, and bringing back some fond memories!

I see that this post was about 2 years ago, but I just acquired a TON of these plates and some of the cups. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
