Knotted Bracelets

I was in charge of teaching the Young Women's lesson this past week at church.  I love to make handouts for the girls to remind them of the lesson.  A few weeks ago I came across the cutest headband tutorial.  Cami from You Seriously Made That!? did a great tutorial with awesome pictures and everything.

Since I didn't have the time to make 16 headbands, I decided to downsize them and make bracelets instead.  I used two strands for each side of the knot instead of three.

I put them inside cellophane bags and printed out a poem on sticky paper to seal the bag.  I loved the poem!

I choose to live by choice, not by chance;
to make changes, not excuses;
to be motivated, not manipulated;
to be useful, not used;
to excel, not compete.
I choose self-esteem, not self pity.
I choose to listen to the inner voice, not random opinions.

The girls loved them and I had fun making them.  I am going to make a headband for myself soon.  So cute!!!

I love them! They make me want to learn to crochet. I didn't know that was one of your many talents. I'm not big into headbands, but I feel like this is doable! The braclets would be great for a friend birthday gift, just to let them know you're thinking of them.
