Green Week: Household Hint

Our first hint helps us go green in our cleaning. White vinegar is inexpensive and environmentally friendly. Do you know the many uses of white vinegar around the house? My favorite is using it to remove hard water buildup. It seriously works wonders. Vinegar is also used as a grease cutter, odor killer, stain fighter and window washer. Go here for a list of many great ways to incorporate vinegar into your cleaning arsenal.

The second hint comes from one of our readers Crystal. Her hint helps save a little green:
Usually we don't eat the ends off the bread loaves. I keep a few bread bags in the freezer and put the ends in the bag and freeze them until we have a whole "loaf" of ends. We keep adding to them through spring, summer and fall. That way in the winter we can go feed the ducks without having to buy bread, and not just tossing our ends :)

Thanks for your hint Crystal! If you have something you'd like to share email me: shauntel122@hotmail.com

That is actually a really good idea. We never eat the ends either and I have never really liked the thought of throwing them all out. Thank you for sharing.
