I am so amazed at all the fantastic tutorials on the internet from; sewing, needle work, paper crafts, kid art projects, garden tips, recipes, family activities, the list goes on and on. Many of you, like me, have taken advantage of these wonderful sources. There are endless tutorials with step-by-step instruction with fantastic pictures. Inspiring! There are several sites just like One Pretty Thing that help give you great ideas, all in one place.
As a gift, what about giving someone the gift of ideas. You can put together a folder or a small filing box filled with ideas for someone. Print out some tutorials and label them so that it becomes their go to box.
Sewing Patterns- Go To Box: For this particular project for my sister-in-law I wanted sewing projects that fit what she does: sewing. She has two little girls and I was able to find and print out several darling tutorials and patterns of skirts, dresses, softies and jewelry on the Internet. (This was super fun for me to do.) To finish it off I made her, her own person branding labels to put in her new projects.
Mom's- Go To Box: I think a fabulous idea box would have a file folder for each holiday and season and have kid crafts, activities, food ideas, and coloring pages. What a great go to box for a Mom who is home with kids! She can use it when kids are getting a little wild or bored. As Mom finds something new in a magazine or on the computer she can rip it out or print it off, and add it to her box. To give it a nice touch you could add some crayons, glue and paper. Who wouldn't love having simple and easy project at your fingertips whenever those "moments" come?
I think that this gift can be very thoughtful and creative and super personal.
