I saw this posted here yesterday. I like my name better! :) I knew it was perfect for my husband! He's the rough and tough, outdoorsy, manly man type. I like to do traditional romantic things with a twist for him. It only took about 45 minutes. Perfect since both my kids were in school.
I found the foliage for $4 and the vase for $3 at the grocery store today. I already had skewer sticks, floral tape and a piece of green floral wet foam.
I cut the foam to fit the vase and stuck it in the bottom. It helps support the foliage and jerky. I just randomly stuck in the foliage; tall stuff in the back short in the front. I didn't use just fern leaves. I liked the bit of variety ad rustic feel this pack had. Then I wrapped the skewers with the floral tape. Next I hot glued the beef jerky to the wrapped skewers and stuck them in. I learned once that when you do arrangements it should be done in odd numbers preferably groups of 3 so I tried to stick to that. Once everything was in I moved the leaves around just a little.
To say the least I'm very pleased with this. The hardest part now is keeping the secret until Monday!
