Candy Cane Cookie Recipe

One of things that is fun in our home is some of the baking that comes along with Christmas time. My little one has had a really fun time with this. One of the things we have made is Candy Cane Cookies.

Candy Cane Cookies

•  stick butter 
• 6 tablespoons light brown sugar
• 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/8 tsp salt
• Bag of Hershey Candy Cane Kisses

1. Preheat oven to 375F
2. Mix butter and both sugars.
3. Add egg and beat until blended, then vanilla and beat until blended
4. In a small bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, then add to butter/sugar mixture a little bit at a time until it is all blended in.
5. Drop one table spoon of dough onto baking sheet.
6. Place a kiss on top and press down and with fingers form dough around Kiss.
7. Bake for 8 minutes.

Put dough on a baking sheet and press Kiss into it.

Form dough around Kiss.
