I had something else on deck for Green Week, but then my son tore a little hole in the elbow of his green and white striped sweater. Obviously having a green sweater to wear for St. Patrick's Day next week took top priority, and I switched projects. In all seriousness, this is the best kind of 'green' project. Mending is a great way to save 'green', and give new life to things that would otherwise end up in the garbage.
I am now blogging at The Mary Frances Project (with my sister Emily), and you can find the suede elbow patches tutorial, and all my other projects, there.

Sweeeeeeet!!
I love elbow patches. :)
Great work, thanks for sharing!!
Magic. I'm embarrassed to say I never thought of opening the side seam of the arm to make this work. Figuring out how to sew the patch on when the arms was already seamed has been the bugbear. Thanks for the insight!
